About Somatic Leadership
Somatic Leadership bridges neuroscience and embodiment to help high-pressure leaders access their best strategic thinking under stress.
Unlike traditional leadership development that focuses on mindset alone, somatic practices rewire your nervous system's automatic responses—building muscle memory for composure that holds up when pressure peaks.

Through neuroscience-backed micro-practices, leaders learn to interrupt their stress reaction in real-time and lead from sustainable presence rather than reactive survival mode. The result: faster decisions, stronger collaboration, and performance that sustains your wellbeing.

My Approach
I teach leaders what I wish I'd known during my 30+ years leading at PwC, Salesforce, and Blue Shield of California: your body holds the key to sustainable high performance.

In 2018, despite a decade of somatic training, I hit my edge. A demanding role, family caregiving, grief, and menopause created a perfect storm that landed me on 15-week stress-induced medical leave. My wake-up call wasn't that my practices didn't work—it was that they were impossible to sustain when everyone around me operated in reactivity.

For 15 years, I sought out master somatic teachers with deep lineage—spending virtually every vacation studying with practitioners who had dedicated their lives to understanding how the body holds wisdom.
I trained with Aikido Sensei Wendy Palmer (40+ years of practice), Tai Ji master Chungliang Al Huang (who bridges ancient Chinese wisdom with Western movement arts), pioneering choreographer Anna Halprin (founder of postmodern dance and somatic healing work), and Continuum master teacher Susan Harper (45+ years of practice) and too many to list.

I learned from elders who had spent decades refining their craft—because I wanted practices with roots deep enough to hold up under real pressure. What I discovered was that the oldest lineages often held the most practical wisdom for modern leadership challenges.

Now as a certified somatic teacher, I distill these time-tested practices into formats that work for today's high-pressure leaders: techniques you learn in minutes, practice in seconds, and carry with you into every boardroom, crisis call, and critical decision.

My programs combine three elements:
-
Science-backed techniques grounded in neuroscience and polyvagal theory
-
Immediate application practices you use the same day you learn them
-
Lasting rewiring that builds automatic composure under pressure.

The goal isn't managing stress better. It's training your nervous system to respond differently—so composure becomes your default, not something you have to work to access.
Harvard-Validated Method
The learning methodology behind Resilient Reset follows the same proven framework used at Harvard Business School: self-study, small group discussion, large group insights, and individual reflection. Every online program applies this sequence to ensure practices stick and become automatic.

Harvard Business School Professor Frances Frei reviewed these results and called them "astoundingly good"—referring to the 98% participant value ratings and 94% sustained practice adoption months after training.

This isn't passive learning. Participants experience the practices, discuss real applications with peers, integrate insights from the larger group, and commit to personal adoption, building muscle memory that lasts.
For Busy Leaders
Every practice is designed around memorable acronyms (PACE, BEST, GUTS, AWE, EASE, GUSTO) and reinforced with colorful reference cards. These techniques stick without requiring weekly programs, lengthy training manuals or apps. Hardwire resilience into your day with immediate results and lasting benefit.

Proven Results
After a 60-90 minute program, 98% of participants report immediate value. 94% of leaders are still using practices months later. Individual clients shift their high-pressure response within two weeks.
